Word of the Day
“I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’”
Luke 18:12-13
We were saved by Grace and mercy not by anything we did. For some reason human beings tend to forget and at times fall into the syndrome of “I will, I want, I will do”. Jesus simply wants us always to remember that we were saved when we didn’t know that we needed to be saved. Yet, He lives interceding for us, pouring His goodness upon us. God seeks those who understand the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. It’s because of the cross that we live and “live more abundantly”. Remember it’s all abouy Jesus’ will, Jesus’ wants, what Jesus will do.

Word of the Day
“Watch yourselves, so that you do not lose what we have accomplished together, but that you may receive a full and perfect reward [when He grants rewards to faithful believers].”
2 JOHN 1:8 AMP
Don't be a marathon runner that runs 6 hours, it's really hot, you get to the finish line but don't cross over. You just stand there looking at the line. If we're going to go through this effort of life, let's make sure we get to the finish line and cross over. Make sure we do everything we possibly can to stay focused on God. That every day is a Jesus-agenda driven day. Ancient prophets prophesied of the coming of a baby messiah and He came. They prophesied of His death and resurrection and it came to pass. Jesus said he is coming and we have to be prepared. Make sure you don't fall short.

Word of the Day
““And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’”
Matthew 25:6 NKJV
Just as the prophets said - Jesus was born, died and resurrected. Just as the prophets also said that he would come again. Jesus himself said that He will be coming back. It's good to be prepared; Jesus is coming. We should be waiting for that trumpet sound to hear, "well done good and faithful servant." We should not be satisfied until we hear those words.
Do school, business, family vacations, etc but make sure that Jesus is our focus. Don’t allow the things of this world, people, or even yourself, to distract you in anyway. Let's make sure we remain focused, praying without ceasing, and making sure the word is alive in us.

“But if he has wronged you in any way or owes you anything, charge that to my account;”
PHILEMON 1:18 AMP
Do we have this mindset like Jesus? Whenever I read this it makes me do a self examination and I always fall short. Thank God for Grace and mercy that leads us to have compassion for others. Life can be pretty busy and distracting causing a lack of caring for others. Seeking, asking for, and hungering for the compassion of Christ will keep us with a good, passing grade on the self examination. Many miracles were done when Jesus was moved with compassion. Help others, it enriches your spirit.
