"Listen, my beloved brothers and sisters: has not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and [as believers to be] heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?”

‭‭JAMES‬ ‭2:5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Once upon a time we were so so poor. We were poor in health, poor in happiness, poor in salvation, life and peace.  We were as good as dead.  When He found us, He made us rich with peace, rich in health, happiness and life.

Being a child of a King means that we have royal privileges. Richness in Christ, enriches you in every area of your life.  Let's meditate on where  we came from so that we know where we are going so that our hearts can be full of gratitude forevermore!

Special Message

Yesterday, the #wordoftheday was:

“Now David himself said in the Book of Psalms: ‘The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” ’”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭20:42-43‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

At the end of the day I understood why the Lord gave us this scripture as the word of the day. Interestingly enough, it is connected to today's word in Psalm 110!  Verse 1 in Psalm 110 is exactly what Luke quoted in yesterday's scripture (Luke 20:42-43).

“The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.””

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭110:1‬ ‭NKJV‬

I had no idea Luke quoted Psalm 110. It was only when I decided to read the entire chapter of Psalm 110 that I wound up finding what Luke quoted in the New Testament. This is a verily verily. What a confirmation!!! Please let us listen, be still and meditate.  We have overcome and are more than conquers. Give all to Jesus and He will fight ALL of our battles. The battle is His! Stop holding on to it!

“Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.”‭‭Psalms‬ ‭110:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When you see the effort made everyday from God's people to help, love, teach and preach the gospel, it's obvious there is a higher power working within.  Yes in the day of our Lord, His people will be willing to do as He did. The Lord's beauty and holiness is displayed when one communes with Him. You receive a proper understanding of how powerful and loving He is.  Our eyes are then opened with understanding as to how high, how deep and how wide His love is for you.

TIMES SQUARE CONCERT THIS SATURDAY!

Times Square collage-page-001.jpg

The Rock Churches Worldwide will perform this Saturday, October 28th at 7pm in the middle of Time Square for their annual #ROCKAMILLION concert at the iconic red stairs. Featuring original songs from all three of their Top 25 debuting albums in Christian and Gospel music, expect high-energy dance tracks that cross musical genres and break stereotypes. The concert is held in the heart of New York City every year to bring the heart of Jesus Christ to the world’s capital; and this year it is dedicated to those affected in the recent tragedy in Las Vegas.

In an effort to not just mask the pain but heal the wounds, this concert is the culmination of a campaign to bring a prayer of hope and healing to 58 million people in the month of October: one million for every life that was so abruptly cut short in the Las Vegas shooting. This movement, called #ROCKAMILLION, is an answer to a call for peace. More than just promoting tolerance, it is a push towards a global revolution where human compassion is conditioned and kindness is an instinct. It shines a light on the truth that the beauty of America is found its diversity, and the celebration of every person’s unique life is what will advance humanity towards a healed tomorrow.

“With all of the darkness in this world, this concert is a reminder that dreams do come true, promises can be fulfilled, the impossible is going to become possible. In honoring those 58 lives, we choose not only to offer comfort, but also reassurance - that with God on our side, each of us is capable of making this world a better place. That alone is a reason to celebrate! In Times Square, steps away from Broadway, in the city that never sleeps, we will be openly embracing life, sharing love, and shining a light of hope for all the world to see.”

“For His merciful kindness is great toward us, And the truth of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD!”‭‭Psalms‬ ‭117:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This psalm is short, sweet and powerful.  It only has 2 verses and it includes the number of complete victory - 17.  The first verse reads how we should praise and worship Him. This allows His grace and mercy to be upon us even though some folks may not have the best intentions towards us. Even if we have internal struggles, we know His mercy endures forever.  We may not understand God's plan for us exactly but we know that the great I am loves us. It may be cloudy for us but it's never cloudy for Him.  He makes the sunshine shine and burns the darkness away every morning. We just have to walk with the mercy of God in our lives.
